Exhibition Space
In the recent past, the Syssitio building has hosted smaller events and art exhibitions.
The main hall will continue to be used and available as an exhibition space.
The space is available upon request for concession and hosting of events, according to the Foundation’s terms and conditions.
Syssitio
The “Syssitio” is a smaller building in Kourkoumelata, across the road from the Vergottis Cultural Center.
After the earthquake, the building was built to offer meals to the children of the community primary school located in Metaxata just up the road – hence the name “Syssitio” which in Greek means “refectory”.
Today it is been reconfigured to host the Foundation’s administrative center in compliance with the Foundation’s charter which stipulates that the Foundation’s headquarters be at Kourkoumelata.
In the recent past it has hosted smaller events and art exhibitions.
