Mission of the Foundation
The Founders’ wishes as expressed in Article 2 of the Foundation’s Charter state that the objective of the Foundation is the study and promotion of Kefalonian & Ionian Heritage, History and Environment, and to support deserving Kefalonian students & charitable foundations.
More specifically, the Foundation’s objectives are:
Study and promotion of issues related to Kefalonian and/or more broadly to Ionian History, Archaeology, Folklore, Art, Economy, Environment, Geology, Seismology, Medicine and Shipping, at the Vergottis Cultural Center in Kourkoumelata, Kefalonia.
Financial assistance to distinguished students from Kefalonia.
Financial support to charitable organisations of Kefalonia and other activities of social benefit.
